Some hard-core camping purists frown on this one, but I think it is handy. Ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, barbecue sauce, and other items can be purchased in single serving squeeze packets. They can usually be found at delis or large food marts. Big spenders like me save them from fast food dining adventures. They are light and compact, and don’t need refrigeration. The only problem comes from the resulting trash. It is illegal to burn plastic in Minnesota, and burning foil in the fire is also a camping no-no. A small Ziploc bag, however, will easily pack out a week’s worth.
