Stay healthy on the trail

Even if your camping companions appear healthy, don’t take the chance of catching what they might be carrying.  If you share your gorp (trail mix), you might want to dump some in their hands rather than have them dig in with fingers that might harbor some bad stuff.  Sharing water bottles has the same risk.  Also, don’t tolerate the cook sneezing over supper or test-tasting with the mixing spoon.  Just wiping off your eating utensils and dishes is okay for a day or so, but you should occasionally scrub them with water just about too hot to touch.
