This page explains our system of tallying up points by working on the Nature Park, helping with fund raisers, participating in the city's annual parade, and wearing your Trail Guard shirts.

These points are redeemable for some very nice opportunities offered at no cost to the participants. We call them our "Outdoor Adventure Rewards," and they include:

* 5-day BWCA Wilderness canoe camping trip, which takes 40 points
* Whitewater Rafting near Duluth, which takes 16 points
* Our local Canoe and Kayak Picnic Cruise, which takes 10 points
* Local Fall Fishing Day, which takes 10 points

The points are earned by work time at the Nature Park. Each hour worked earns 2 points, and you get an extra point for wearing your Trail Guard shirt (not to mention a great lunch). So, on any normal Saturday workday, you will earn 7 points.

Paynesville's annual "Town and Country Days" offers extra point earning opportunities. You get 6 points for participating in the parade float (riding or roller-blading), 6 points for pop sales during the parade, and 2 points per hour for working at the root beer float stand. You always get an extra point for wearing your TG shirt.

So, as you can see, it is easy and fun to earn the points required to enjoy the "Outdoor Adventure Rewards."
